Government Resources

The first place to start is at the Small Business Administration.   They offer everything from financing and help with accounting.  You can also find valuable advice from SCORE: retired CEOs and business owners.

The federal government's super site with links to all of what the government offers is called FirstGov.  There are links to government and outside resources about a range of business issues including business development, taxes, laws and regulations, and more.

To find local government resources, Govspot.com will let you search for your state's government agencies including departments, taxes, and licenses.  There are also links to find the resources for local municipalities.
